The movie Filmistaan talks about a man called Sunny Arora played by Sharib Hashmi who is ardent fan of cinema as much as he loves his life. This man is very many gripped by the movies, which always keep revolving around this person round the rock.
The film is directed by Nitin Kakkar. He made his directorial debut in 2004 with a short, Black Freedom, and has since worked largely in television. FILMISTAN is his debut feature. In his first feature film, Nitin Kakkar takes you into the world of the ebullient Sunny, who struggles as an assistant film director but longs to be a star in the fantasy world of Bollywood and for whom life is nothing but a filmi dialogue.
